Tsuen Chen was founded in 1981, initially focusing on manufacturing fiberglass rods, antenna poles, and related pipe products. With the growing demand in the fishing tackle market, we soon expanded into carbon fiber products.

Primarily focusing on rod production. Today, our product range includes a variety of rods such as ISO rods, surf rods, casting rods, raft rods, boat rods, lure rods, and pole rods, among others.

Throughout the development and manufacturing processes, we have consistently pursued excellence and innovation to enhance product quality and stability. We established the brand 'Tsuen Chen' and now market our products worldwide, including in China, the Middle East, Spain, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, Israel, and more, earning widespread customer recognition.

With nearly 40 years of experience and two generations of tradition, Tsuen Chen is considered a pioneer in Taiwanese fishing tackle. Professional Manufacturing

It's hard to imagine, but many crucial aspects of the manufacturing process are hidden in seemingly insignificant details. For example, the process of wrapping materials onto molds involves complex and critical techniques.

Furthermore, selecting the right few out of forty or fifty types of carbon fabrics, determining the appropriate fiber direction, choosing the method and technique for wrapping, and various other factors—all require considerable thought and expertise from the designers.

Moreover, the painting and polishing process is one that cannot afford shortcuts. Many people who have dealt with painting projects at home have noticed the significant price differences between contractors. This disparity often comes down to the meticulous work involved in achieving a smooth, refined paint surface.

Repeated surface sanding, from coarse to fine, is essential for a high-quality finish. This is why the paint on some high-end cars has a richer, more even color saturation compared to standard finishes.

The production process of each fishing rod, from design and mold-making to testing and mass production, can take anywhere from six months to one or two years. In Taiwan, with its rich and varied coastal landscapes, we have developed many unique fishing methods not seen in other countries, such as the raft fishing series.

For us, the design philosophy of this series represents creating something entirely new, with no references or 1:1 copies involved.

In building our experience database, we invest significant effort in communicating with various anglers, creating prototypes, and conducting tests before mass production. To ensure the most accurate rod performance data, new products undergo real-world fishing tests by anglers.

The iterative process of receiving valuable feedback and making product adjustments consumes considerable time and cost, but Tsuen Chen’s core value is that “every failure is the nourishment for our growth.”

A fishing rod, from concept to completion, goes through numerous stages including design, mold making, material shaping (with repeated testing for action), grinding, painting, and assembly. The following video will take you through this process.
